 We have been involved with Ridgebacks since 1991 when we purchased our first Ridgeback, Keira. Keira was a family pet first and was shown occasionally when family commitments allowed. In 1991 we registered the Kennel prefix LionVeldt and in 1992 we obtained our second Ridgeback Jaeger (Aust.Ch.Kargniulan Safari Girl) with a view to showing more often and to breed with in the future. When Jaeger was mature enough, a long and involved search began for a suitable mate for her to keep the good qualities that she has without introducing any unwanted faults. Peter (Aust. Ch. LionVeldt Akobi Delage) and Maddison (Aust. Ch. LionVeldt Akobi Skoda) are two of her puppies and have gone onto prove themselves admirably. Be sure to look out for Maddison's puppies, Harvey (LionVeldt Bacara Healey) and Savannah (LionVeldt Bacara Alpina) in the showring. All of our dogs are much loved family pets first and foremost who just happen to be show dogs as well. Occassionally we do have puppies available, so if you are interested please check here for litter notifications.
